The CFA Society of Sydney celebrated the end of year with its Annual Dinner and Award Ceremony on 22 November 2006. The event, held at the Royal Automobile Club, was a fitting finale to a year that was marked with a number of significant milestones including a new high water mark in Level 3 graduates. Jan Squires, Head of the CFA Institute in Asia Pacific, gave a keynote address and formally recognised the 44 of the 174 graduates who attended the evening. The CFA Society of
Sydney celebrated its 10 year anniversary in 2006 and we were fortunate to have in attendance at the Annual Dinner all the original board members still residing in Australia - Emilio Gonzalez, Raymond Orr, Jim Savage and Bruce Tomlinson. The evening wasn't all formalities though with a mini trivia quiz and a band on hand to complement the festive atmosphere of the evening.
