The Society finished a very busy year of social events with a relaxed nine-hole Ambrose team event on the Friday afternoon of the 3rd of November, 2006. Rain threatened once again but the skies cleared up for our 22 participants. The first place team consisted of Rob Angus, Ward Horsnell, Michelle Wigglesworth and Cheryl Broadhurst. They were followed closely in second place by Alistair Haig, Richard Brandweiner, Banesh Suntahram and Matt Hilan.
Special thanks to our sponsors for their generosity - FactSet, Reuters, AFMA, CommSec and Standard Bank. FactSet donated $50 Myer vouchers(4), Reuters donated a dozen bags and golf umbrellas each, AFMA donated $25 Myer vouchers(4) and CommSec donated a dozen golf balls. Standard Bank provided golf balls for all participants and some golf bag towels. Thank you also to AFMA for organising this event.
